Shania Twain Congratulates Taylor Swift for Beating Her Country Charts Record

Shania Twain, who maintained a 97-week on the top of the Billboard Country Albums Chart, congratulated Taylor Swift for just having achieved a total of 99 weeks, surpassing Twain’s record for having the most weeks at No. 1.

“Let’s Go Girls!!!! Proud of you @taylorswift13. Historical records are meant to be made and then broken. The baton is meant to be passed on to new generations. Unstoppable young female country artists are [fire emoji] in spite of the hurdles,” Twain wrote on Twitter, adding the hashtag, “#trailblazers.”

Swift is now the female country artist with the most weeks at No. 1, with Garth Brooks, Alabama, and Willie Nelson, holding the all-time records at 169, 125, and 106 weeks, respectively.
