Oprah Winfrey: “I Don’t Have a Lot of Friends”

“I don’t have a lot of friends,” admits Oprah Winfrey during a recent podcast conversation with Maria Shriver and Honda Koth, explaining how she has never felt the need to expand her small circle until recently.

The iconic talk show host has been known to have three close pals: Gayle King, Maria Shriver, and Bob Greene. She says these deep bonds have lasted well over 40 years.

It is no surprise that Winfrey values genuine friendship over any other kind. In her own words, she advises authenticity: “Surround yourself with someone who is happy for your happiness as you are for your happiness.”
