Behr’s 2021 Color of the Year – It’s time to explore “Canyon Dusk”

In the midst of a season that most definitely calls for comfort, Behr Paint Company has announced their 2021 Color of the Year as Canyon Dusk S210-4.  This “earthy terracotta shade” was picked specifically because, as the company states, it “delivers on what everyone needs this year: elevated comfort.”

This landscape-inspired hue is an integral part of Behr’s Color Trends 2021 palette, serving as a “rich, neutral color that creates an atmosphere of grounding warmth.” The brand describes the creamy color as one that “expresses a unifying desire to find solid footing on life’s journey, metaphorically connecting to the Earth, to re-establish mental and physical balance and provide a fresh start to the new year.”

“There is something so reassuring about dusk, the moment just after sunset, which brings the promise of a new day,” says Erika Woelfel, vice president of color and creative services at Behr.  “The illuminating, free-spirited Canyon Dusk is a color that can be found in a variety of places, from an awe-inspiring desert landscape to the color of sunbaked clay. Wherever it is found, we share a collective need for these moments of comfort and inspiration in the days ahead.”

Behr knows better than anyone that right now, people are looking for home projects.
