While many fashionistas did predict that holes and cutouts were on the rise, nobody realized just how helpful this fashion choice would become. But, once Dolly Parton shared an image of herself on Twitter wearing a cold-shoulder top while receiving her first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, it was an “a HA” kind of moment. No awkward rolling or stripping down required, all thanks to some skin-baring sleeves.
Many people took to Twitter to express their love for Dolly’s super smart fashion choice, and some even shared their own cutout “Vaccine Shirts,” confirming that they’ve definitely become “a thing.” By the time Hilary Clinton showed off her throwback and model Christie Brinkley shared her own one-sleeved alternative at her appointment, people were sold on the idea of wearing similar styles when getting these shots.
In times like these, it’s great to take the fun fashion where you can get it, and in this case, if that means investing in a Vaccine Shirt of your own, then why not? It might even evolve into a “going out top” someday soon.
