‘3rd Rock From The Sun’ Stars Passes

If you were a ‘3rd Rock From the Sun’ fan, you will be saddened to hear that 89 year old Elmarie Wendel, the actress who played Mrs. Dubcek on the show has passed away. Details or cause of death have not yet been released.

Elmarie Wendel was born in 1928 in rural Howard County, Iowa, but found her way to Broadway as a teenager. She would eventually head to Los Angeles to join a traveling production of “Annie.” We also remember Elmarie on terrific shows like “Murder, She Wrote,” “Seinfeld,” “Love & War,” “Murphy Brown,” and “Empty Nest.”

Elmarie Wendel was part of a successful actor ensemble ‘3rd Rock From the Sun’ where In 1997, this show earned the most Emmy awards for a television series.
