If you graduated college in 1986 you’re likely to be in your 50s. The 80s was a terrific decade of music which included British Invasion II, ‘Techno’ and Madonna of course. What were the top songs of 1986?

.) “Addicted to Love” Robert Palmer
.) “Why Can’t This Be Love” by Van Halen
.) “I Want to Make the World Turn Around” by the Steve Miller Band
.) “Broken Wings” by Mr. Mister
.) “Sledgehammer” by Peter Gabriel
.) “In Your Eyes” by Peter Gabriel
.) “Something About You” by Level 42
.) “Higher Love” by Steve Winwood
.) “Take Me Home Tonight” by Eddie Money

Prologue: 1986 was a great year for rock. Peter Gabriel was having a terrific start to his solo career, while Eddie Money and Robert Palmer were riding high on the charts. We loved this music, and love it when one of these hits comes on the radio.
